It's my dad's birthday today. Of course I forgot to send anything in time. As he is a frequent reader and translator of my blog I sent this way some virtual cake (out of VwV) and respect and love!


"Happy Birthday, alter Mann!"

I wish all of you a HAPPY NEW YEAR. Even it’s already a few days into 2007 and most probably the first resolutions are broken. I mean in the end that’s what they are for, aren’t they. So my resolutions are: to start smoking again, not to have a tattoo, having less sex than last year and quitting my PhD. And maybe drink more. And looking for jobs in Palmy.

Likewise resolutions, break old traditions and create new ones. Keep the good ones of course. With the good ones I don’t mean female genital mutilation, foie gras, getting rich on the stock market or FC Bayern Munich winning the German championship.

I hope you had a good year and wish you a better to come. Ahh... and a better summer than the one we have in Palmy…15 degrees….that’s a joke.
